If you remember a while back, I got my first cuts as a songwriter on a project called “Ashes To Fire” with Lillenas Music Publishing and Maranatha. My tracks were “Dry Bones” and “Love’s Already Won”. It was such an exciting time for me…a dream come true.
Many of you have heard me sing these songs and even bought the record. It accompanies a study intended for reading through the Lenten Season. (Ash Wednesday-Pentecost) It’s a beautiful collection of songs and I’m truly honored to be a part of it.
I recently got word from The Gospel Music Association that this record is nominated for a Dove Award in the category of Special Events Record of the year!! And since I was also the artist on these tracks, I am individually nominated for my contribution!!!!!
I am beyond excited and grateful for this unexpected news. My travel plans are made. My girlfriends and I have booked our room. I have a shimmery gold dress. Yes, I am going to the Doves!! My folks are even driving down for the show!
Thanks to all of you who have supported me this far! I’ll document the whole trip!!
If you haven’t heard the record yet, here’s a link!
You helped me fund it. You watched me make it. Now, it’s time to hear it!!!!
I’m thrilled and honored to invite all of you to celebrate the release of my new record “What About One” on March 30th from 6-9 pm at the beautiful Barn at Redgate in Somerset.
The night will involve live music, track listening, stories behind the songs, yummy sweets, coffee and more! The record will be available for purchase, along with T-shirt, tote bags and opportunities to learn more about child sponsorship.
Remember, I’m giving all the proceeds from record sales to Compassion International. So, you’re not just buying music…you’re helping a child in need.
Some invitations will be sent in addition to this. But, please consider this your personal invite and join me on a night we’ve been waiting for!!!!
It was a great night hanging out with some of my favorite people, drinking coffee, and playing music in a beautiful building! The best part? 4 children were sponsored through Compassion International. 2 had been waiting more than 9 months. Their lives will be forever changed. So will their sponsors. I’m so grateful to be doing music this way. Thanks to everyone who came out or lifted me up in prayer!
